The objects of the CIO are:

(1) The preservation of health by raising awareness of Strokes, Diabetes and Kidney Failure.
(2) The advancement of education of children and young people in the performing arts and to further develop their appreciation of and

participation in the arts. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the Melissa Bell Foundation’s ability to deliver key fundraising and educational initiatives. Our annual Spring Ball fundraising gala was cancelled, affecting funding for programmes, and our annual summer scholarships to the Sylvia Young Theatre School were disrupted, though we maintained contact with beneficiaries.
To adapt, we partnered with Islington Council to donate laptops to children in need of home-schooling and used social media to continue raising awareness of diabetes, strokes, and kidney failure. Despite these challenges, we remain committed to reinstating our key programmes and Summary of the main continuing our mission to support young people in health education and activities undertaken for the performing arts. public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
