participation in the arts. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the Melissa Bell Foundation’s ability to deliver key fundraising and educational initiatives. Our annual Spring Ball fundraising gala was cancelled, affecting funding for programmes, and our annual summer scholarships to the Sylvia Young Theatre School were disrupted, though we maintained contact with beneficiaries.

To adapt, we partnered with Islington Council to donate laptops to children in need of home-schooling and used social media to continue raising awareness of diabetes, strokes, and kidney failure.
