Activities

Our purpose is to encourage the protection of Endangered primates by developing conservation and research initiatives that are inclusive, fair and sustainable, raising awareness about the illegal primate trade, communicating research findings, providing capacity building and training in the UK and internationally all with regard to primate conservation.

Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is:the Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Natural Environment And In Particular The Conservation Of Endangered Primates By:(a) Developing Conservation And Research Initiatives That Are Inclusive, Fair And Sustainable And Communicating Research Findings.(b) Raising Awareness Nationally And Internationally About The Illegal Primate Trade With Particular Reference To The Endangered Barbary Macaque In Its Natural Habitat In Morocco.(c) Providing Education And Training To Students And Conservation Practitioners In The UK And Internationally With Regard To Primate Conservation, Particularly That Of The Endangered Barbary Macaqueplace Of Operation: - The CIO Will Operate Mainly In The UK And Tangier-Tétouan Region Of North Morocco.
