|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the<br>charity, identifying the<br>difference the charity’s<br>work has made to the<br>circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any<br>wider benefits to society<br>as a whole.|Para 1.20|**Maintenance of sports fields and recreation**<br>**ground:**The grass has been cut at regular<br>intervals, the hedges have been trimmed to<br>comply with health and safety regulations, and<br>the recreation ground in general has been<br>maintained well. Winsham United Football Club<br>has been responsible for several extra grass cuts<br>to maintain the football fields to their own<br>standards.<br>**Repairs to, and upgrading of, the pavilion:**<br>Surveys were carried out to decide which repairs<br>and maintenance work was necessary and to<br>establish priorities for such work. A start was<br>made with upgrading the interior of the Pavilion<br>including thorough cleaning, repairs and painting<br>to professional standards. The loft was insulated<br>to improve energy efficiency and to reduce our<br>carbon footprint.<br>**Establishment of Community Club:**First steps<br>towards the establishment of such a club were<br>taken by drafting a constitution, rules, and by<br>pre-publicising this Club to inhabitants of the<br>Parish by printed and electronic communication<br>methods.<br>**Start of recreational activities:**Plans and<br>preparations were made for the opening of the<br>Pavilion in August 2021 linked to a ‘village fun|





day’ with stalls and activities in order to introduce the village to the new facilities.

I state this to be a true and accurate account of the Winsham Recreational Trust income and expenses for the first financial year of the Trust. As the Trust was set up during this financial year, and the first income was booked in September 2020, while the first bills were paid in August, this was an unusual year.
