The objects of the CIO are for the public benefit on the Mendip
Hills and the surrounding areas, to promote community
participation in healthy recreation and to provide or assist in the
provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for
recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who
have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age,
infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances
with the object of improving their conditions of life.

In 2024 Ride Mendips ran a number of volunteer dig sessions
between February and August. During this time, we maintained
and improved a range of mountain bike trails in Rowberrow
Warren and installed a storage facility to support future dig
sessions.
At the time of writing discussions with Forestry England in
relation to the renewal of a contract which enables the charity's
activities are ongoing.

Volunteers make a significant contribution to the achievement of
Ride Mendips objectives. All dig sessions are led by Ride Mendips
committee members but are mostly made up of volunteers who
want to assist with the building and maintenance of trails.

and fundraising. Reserves remain sufficient to support ongoing
