## 4. Achievements & Performance 

|**Summary of the main**<br>**achievements of the charity,**<br>**identifying the difference the**<br>**charity’s work has made to**<br>**the circumstances of its**<br>**beneficiaries and any wider**<br>**benefits to society as a whole.**|In 2022 Ride Mendips continued to focus on two main projects<br>for the benefit of the local community:<br>Rowberrow Warren Bike Trails:<br>In 2022 Ride Mendips ran a series of approximately 10-12<br>volunteer dig sessions between February & August. During this<br>time we made extensive improvements to a range of mountain<br>bike trails in Rowberrow Warren. However, we focused on<br>improvements to Pig Pen, Happy Valley and the lower part of<br>Yee Haw. At the end of the dig season the trails were in the best<br>condition that they had been since the inception of Ride<br>Mendips.<br>Cheddar Pump Track:<br>In January 2022 Velosolutions were commissioned to begin the<br>build of Cheddar pump track. The track build was completed in<br>March and Ride Mendips ran a launch event in April. The event<br>attracted a wide range of both locals and visitors. The pump<br>track has been a fantastic success and is used regularly by a wide<br>range of people of all ages. However, the track is most popular<br>with younger riders & skaters. The track is now owned and<br>maintained by Cheddar Parish Council. Having successfully driven<br>the Cheddar Pump Track Project to completion, Ride Mendips<br>have now returned focus to trail building and maintenance in<br>Rowberrow Warren.|
