**Activities:** St. Mary the Virgin Church is the Anglican church serving the town of Petworth. As well as a range of weekly and seasonal services, it provides baptisms, marriages, and funerals for the community. It is open for private prayer. It hosts civic services such as Remembrance Sunday, and other special events and memorials. Its premises host the annual  Petworth Festival and Literature Festival.
