TIME, visit(xl 4 elderly & dementia care homes in Basildon. Each homc rcceivcd 4 inclusivc music sessions, 4)read over 12
mondis. Our scssions entailed ￿rOM}anceS of popular songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's, that aided wsitive M'ellkino
and physical stimulation. Each resident Ivas offered the op￿)rtUnity to participate Ivith accessible m￿SICal instruments and
momcnts Iwcre set aside lo encourage conversation and reflcction, that perfonndnces such as this regiilarly spark.

Our initial project culminated with the group composing their own song. This new fund cnabled our instructors to provide a full
recordu￿0 cxycricncc for the participants. Each mcmber contributed thcir oivn lyrics and musical idc£LS - and was thcn able to
perforni and capture each of them.
This cxlcnded project lead to further opportunitie4 as Basildon Council contacted the charity and invited The Mens Shed to
