A year of account balance growth, but one that must be tempered by the knowledge that we have received higher incomes than normal. This has been in the form of additional grant funding, of which some monies still remain in the accounts. This said, we have invested significantly in machinery this year, whilst remaining prudent with additional expenditures. 

By way of a summary, I will highlight a few key notes to accompany the Account Statement. 

## **Income** 

- 4 payments of £2,487.42 were received from Colne Town Council for the annual works carried out 

- on and around the greens. 

- Grant funding awards received to the value of £23,358.52 (with additional funds to come). 

- Strong donation amounts of £3,826.69. 

## **Expenditure** 

- Investment of £13,534.80 in new machinery (Groundsman and Denis seeding machine) of which some of this came from a council grant. 

- Investment of £7,231 into new bowls, coaching aids, disability/inclusion equipment, etc… through the procurement of multiple grant awards. 

- Ringfencing of funds to allow for depreciation of machinery increased to £2,500.00, as agreed by Trustees. 

## **Closing Balance** 

- A closing balance of £22,054.01 has been reported for 2022. Once approved, this will be submitted to the Charities Commission. 

- As part of the Closing Balance, as indicated on the Statement, the ringfenced balance has increased to £4,500 for the replacement of machinery (as agreed by yourselves previously). This will be moved into a separate account, for clarity, during 2023.
