The majority (28%) of the income generated in 2022/23 came through monthly donations from regular sponsors. We were lucky enough to receive two separate donations of £1000 (21% each) through bid applications and 16% came through donations from Justgiving and Paypal platforms.

We are proud to say that we continue to provide the support for Mutake School with completely voluntary support from our team. No funds were spent on staff. We were able to purchase a website address using funding specifically donated for the purpose.

64% of our expenditure was on school fees and uniforms. One of the above grants was used to make classrooms a more comfortable place for students through the purchase of new desks and chair sets, and the other was used to provide specialist school fees for a young person.

Friends of Mutake School has run at a deficit of £510.15 during the financial year 2022/23. This is attributed to the success of 6 of our students gaining grades that allowed them to progress to secondary school. Due to the increased costs of secondary school and fees/uniform provision we will look at increasing our fundraising activity in the coming year.
