Strurture. Governance and Management
The Flower Charitable Trust is a Charitable Incorporated 0rgani5ation and wa5 regISte￿d by the
Charity Comtnission on 10 March 2020.1t has a Trustee Board which wa5 Put in place at the time the
trust was formed and then regiSte￿d with the Charity Commission. The Trust Board are accountable
for the conduct of the organisatlon.
Alms and Oble¢tl¥es
To advance such charitable purposes asihe Trustees see fit from time to tlme in particulario the
lief of those in need, by rea50n of youth, age. ill-health. disability, financial hardship or other
disadvantage, through ihe provision of grants, goods or services
Actl¥ltle5 and achlevements
The Trust has continued to lease the property LilliaDa Way in Bridgewater to Julian House
The house has provlded secure accommodation for 7 clients during thls period mainly for women
fleeing dornestlc abuse. We continue to have good feedback from Julian House and their need for
this type of accommodation is increasing
We a￿ presently considerlng financing a second property forjulian House
The Ralph Flower Engineering Award is in to its third year. We have worked c105ely with Cross
Engineerlng (Ralph's Cotnpany for 74 years) to offer the award to students at Bath University and
UWE Iuniversity of the West of Englandl. The Trust is about to interview students for the award for
the current academlc year.
The Trust is in a sound financial position and is now wnsidering Fund Raising Events perhaps with
other local charities. Thi5 will enable us to offer more shelterfor vulnerable people and funds for
other charitoble purpose5.
We also are planning to raise the profile of the charlty wlth an online p￿Sence with a website.
Flnancial Review
The financial accounts forthe year are set out on pages I to 8. The Statement of Financial Attivitles
shows the endowrnent as described above, expenditure to date being incident ovefheads. The trust
has a surplus for the year of £12.911. The whole of the fund 15 unrestrirted.

The Trustees are required by law to prepare financial ststements for each financ￿1 yearwhich gfves
a true and falr view of the state of affairs of the Charity at the end of the financial year Hnd of the
surplus or deficit of the Charity. In preparSng those financial statements the Tfustees are required to..

I report In respect of my exarnination of the Charity'5 accounts carried out under section 145 of the
2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable 01￿ctIonS given by
Ihe Charity Commission under section 145ISllbl of the Act.
