the charity as set out in ts
governing document
Pata1.17
Men in Sheds are community spaces for Men to
ollnect, eonverse and create. Our Letchworth
Shed aims to reduce loneliness and isolalior¢ for
primarity older and often retired men by
developing that sense of personal Mlentity, and
purpose and restoring the camaraderie which is
so often lost after fetifement.
Summary ofthe main
activities in relation to those
purposes for the public
benefit, in particular, the
activrties, projects or
serVI￿S identified in the
accounts.
Para 1.17 and
1.19
We have been in current Men's Shed location
for over 3 years now.
We have undertaken community projects
outside of our Farm locats"on, both as sources of
income from donations and for the community
These include the making a play mud kitchen
for a local pre-school, a donabon food bank for
a local primary schcx)l and refvrbishment of
local bowls club benches.
A significanl community project was taking on
the refurbishment of a community garden in the
ntre of the town, providing new raised beds
and constnJction of a signature gazebo. All
these works supported and carrted out ents'rely
by our members as volunteers.
For the second year, we have constructed a
huge number of made-to-order Swift bird boxes
for a nearby residential Swift action group. Our
tally is now well over 80 boxes.
The sharing of our workshop space on a
sFecthc weekday with a local professional
wcrf)dtuming group continues. In return for using
our space the group offers expert woodturning
and safety trainin9 that contsnues to benefit all
our members. Skills leamt conts'nue to give
purpose and supported Well￿1n9.
These acIN1t￿ support our aim to reduce
loneliness and isolab.on by providing a place to
meet up with and engage with others whilst
focusin
on comrnon
ses.

Our trustees are also members and participate
in our daily activities as well as managing our
engagement with the wider community and
finding ways to promote recognition in the
community. This year we showcased our
