Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
The objects of the CIO are to:
(a) promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Stroud in Hampshire and neighbouring districts ("the area of benefit") without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, nationality, age, disability, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the statutory authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of

social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants; (b) establish, or secure the establishment, of a Village Hall ("the Hall") and to maintain and manage the same (whether alone or in co-operation with any local authority or other person or body) in furtherance of these objects; and (c) promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined. Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
During the year under review the Charity became active following the eventual successful opening of a bank account for the CIO.
The associated, unregistered charity of the same name (Charity No 1082925) closed during the year and the accounts reflect the combined turnover.
All current assets and liabilities, with Charity Commission approval were transferred from the old Charity (1082925) to the CIO.
