The objects of the CIO are to: (a) promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Stroud in Hampshire and neighbouring districts ("the area of benefit") without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, nationality, age, disability, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the statutory authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the **Summary of the objects** interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time **of the charity set out in** occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for **its governing document** the said inhabitants;

During the year under review the Charity has been dormant owing to difficulties being encountered in respect of the opening of a bank account to facilitate the operation of the financial side of the CIO.
Until a bank account has been opened the Village Hall will be run by the associated, unregistered charity of the same name (Charity No 1082925).
