Ala yaseen is an association govemed by its constitution dated 08 January 2020 and was registered
wilh the Charity Commtssion on 09 March 2020.
b. Method of appointment and inductlon of new Trusteos
New Tfuslees are appointed by Ihe members of the charity at a general meeting and are briefed on their
legal obligations under chanty law, the ￿ntent of the tharivs con$titutKm, and its re￿nI perfonnance.
. Organlsational structure and decision maklng
The boafd of Trustees oversee the running of the Charity on a day to day basis. AJI operational dectsions are
made at board meetings which are held frequenty through the year.
d. Risk Management
The Trustees have assessed the rnajor risks to which the charity is exposed and are satisfied that systems
and procedures are in place to mitigate our exposure to the major risks.
Objectives and Actlvilles
a. Summary of objectives
The objectives of the ¢harity as set out in ils goveming docurnent are as follows:
SUPPORTING THE RELIEF OF POVERTY BY PROVIDING BASIC NEEDS SUCH AS FOOD. CLOTHING
AND SHELTER TO THE NEEDY
GIVING SUPPORT IN THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION ANO FIGHT AGAINST ILLITERACY
ESPECIALLY TO POORER COMMUNITIES
The Trustees have reviewed the objectNes ol the charity lo ensure that ihvi provide an overall benefrt to the
people of Gambia and Senegal. In ¢onducb"ng this reviE4Y. the Tntstee5 have considered Ihe Charity
Commission's general guidanc* of publtc benefrt.

The charity has supported Ali Yaseen Charity En the Gambia lo run a rural madrassa school in Kassagrye
village where ttiere Is no school gNing the local children opportunity to leam. The charity has supported Ali
i YdSP.en Gambia IF7 construclring a Madfassa School In an impoverished village. named Fouffour Village.
The school ha$ boen built to a go(¥J staThJard and orphans and childfen from very poor background have now

The chariiy has also disliibuted family lood pafcels lo poor and needy faMil￿S In the Gambia as part of its

During Ihe year Ihe charity raised a total of £22.684 01 tncoming resources before chantable expenditure.
Most ol Ihe fund5 raised were through vOlun￿ry donatsons ITOM wilhin the local community an¢ through

number of fundraising programmes hekl al various locations across Ihe East Midlands.
