Unfortunately, due lo the unforeseen financial impact of Mr Segrave's death and the complexities arising from the ongoing administration of his estate the transfer of funds left to the charty has been heavily delayed. Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity's work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. Parn 1.20 Within the next financial year, the Trustees anlicipale that the investment of the legacy now received from Mr Segrave's estate will allow them to begin making grants to organisations who advance a variety of charitable causes including, but not limited lo, protection and preservation of thè environment, the relief of those in need. specifically children and the blind, and maintaining places and buildings of hislorical interest or natural beauty. In the upcoming year the charity hopes to provide a benefit to society as a whole via its support of a vaiiety of charitable causes. It is intended that charitable organisations who are operating on limited budgets will be the primary beneficiaries of the grants to ensure that the benefrt enjoyed by the general public will be maximised and that causes that might otherwise receive little support are able to continue and advance. Investment performance against objectives Pao 1.41 Other Financial Review Review of the charity's financial position al the end of the period Para 1.21 The consolidated income of the charity in this period amounted to £171,837. The expenditure of the charity during this period amounted to £10,381. The Charity's principal source of income during Ihe period is income from dividends and interest (£1,547) and also the payment of a legacy due to it from the estate of Roderick Segrave. This income is in line with the trustees, èxpectations for this period. At the end of the period a sum of £5,896 is held as cash funds in Ihe charity's CAF account and the investment managers, cash accounts. The legacy recently rèceived is held on the client account of Greenwoods Legal Servi$ Limited pending investment1£164.5821. Responsibilities and basis of report As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {'the Act.).
