**Commission on public benefit)**|The principal objectve of Born to be Beautful is to relieve poverty by
providing vocatonal beauty therapy training that equips disadvantaged
women with practcal skills, enabling them to gain employment, establish
small businesses and improve their long-term fnancial independence.
During the 2024–2025 reportng period, the charity contnued to deliver
practcal beauty therapy educaton in Uganda. Building on previous
successful manicure and pedicure training, the charity expanded its
programme by delivering a comprehensive facial treatment course in
Mbarara. Partcipants received both theoretcal and practcal instructon
in professional facial techniques, skin care, hygiene, client consultaton
and safe working practces. In additon, simple accountng, marketng and
advertsing were addressed.
The training was designed to provide partcipants with recognised
vocatonal skills that could be used to generate sustainable income within
their local communites. By increasing access to employable skills, the
charity seeks to reduce poverty, improve confdence and self-esteem, and
create opportunites for women to support themselves and their families.
The trustees believe these actvites provide a clear public beneft by
advancing educaton, relieving poverty and promotng economic self-
sufciency amongst disadvantaged communites overseas.
In planning the charity's actvites, the trustees have had due regard to the
guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public beneft under
secton 17 of the Charites Act 2011.|

Section D Achievements and performance
**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**
During the 2024–2025 reporting period, Born to be Beautiful continued its mission of empowering disadvantaged women through vocational beauty therapy education.
The charity successfully delivered a professional facial treatment training programme in Mbarara, Uganda, training **20 women** in facial therapy techniques, skin care, hygiene, client consultation and professional standards. The programme combined classroom-based learning with extensive practical training, ensuring that each participant developed the skills and confidence required to provide safe and effective facial treatments.
On successful completion of the course, each participant received a certificate of achievement, a professional uniform, comprehensive written training materials and a starter kit containing sufficient products and equipment to perform at least 20 additional facial treatments. These resources were provided to enable graduates to begin generating an income immediately through employment or self-employment within their local communities.
The training equipment and professional products used throughout the programme were generously donated, allowing the charity to maximise the impact of its available resources and extend practical support beyond the classroom.
By equipping 20 women with recognised vocational skills, professional resources and the confidence to establish their own beauty services, the charity has helped create opportunities for sustainable employment, financial independence and improved livelihoods for the participants and their families. The trustees consider this programme to have made a meaningful and lasting contribution to the communities served, advancing education and helping to relieve poverty through practical vocational training.

The trustees aim to keep unrestricted reserves at a modest level, **Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves** sufficient only to meet the charity's short-term operational commitments and any unforeseen expenditure. As a small charity, Born to be Beautiful seeks to apply the majority of its available funds directly to its charitable activities and overseas training programmes, ensuring that donations have the greatest possible impact on the beneficiaries it serves. The trustees review the level of reserves regularly to ensure that the charity remains financially sustainable while continuing to maximise expenditure on its charitable objectives.
