1) Chair’s Report
This year has been successful in terms of completing the shed and enabling us to open to the public on 28[th] May 2022. I would like to thank all those members that have helped in getting the shed completed, thank you.
We were successful in raising grants and donations to finance the work necessary to complete the shed and with much of the work, particularly in terms of fitting out, done by our volunteers.
It has been an eventful year, since opening the shed we have been busy. Some of the jobs include
We have attracted volunteers to help out the shed and training courses have been offered We do not charge a fee for being a member and have attracted members from all walks of life, including those who are lonely and isolated. Benches made and fitted. The tool racks made and fitted.
The up and over doors have been fitted which gives us much more security
The container has been purchased and fitted for storage .
Another first aid course has been carried out and that gives us a good number of first aiders We have obtained suitable tools to operate the shed
We have made lots of items for the public
We have made lots of bird boxes for the raptor centre and the village bird people
We had a May Fair and popup shop both of which went well
I do think we are on a very good path but there is always a lot more to do
