Objectives and Activities

The objectives of the Charity are:

1. To relieve financial hardship by the provision of free legal advice and assistance to persons who, through lack of means, would otherwise be unable to obtain such advice.

2. To facilitate the administration of the law by the promotion of arbitration, mediation and conciliation services to settle civil disputes in taxation.

3. To further such other purposes through the making of grants/donations to other UK registered Charities according to the law of England and Wales as the trustees see fit from time to time.

Achievements and Performance

The Charity did not operate or carry out any activities in the year ended 30 June 2022.

Financial Review

The accounts for year ended 30 June 2022 have been prepared. The trustees are pleased by the financial support received during the year, and are optimistic that the donations will remain relatively stable.

All of the Charity’s income is through donations. The risk of this dependence is regularly reviewed by the trustees.

Structure, Governance and Management

The Charterhouse Foundation is registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. The day-to-day running and management is carried out by the trustees who also provide the framework and direction of the Charity.

The trustees ensure that the governance and associated activities of the Charity are compliant with all relevant regulation and laws in England and Wales.
