Structure

Coddington Village Hall, Charity Number 1188363, is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) whose effective date was 5[th] March 2020.

Objects and Activities

The charity exists to manage Coddington Village Hall as a venue for the people of the village to meet for events, meetings, classes, dances, parties and other activities.

All administration, booking and management functions are carried out by volunteers as is most of the maintenance work.

Reserves policy

In formulating a policy on reserves the trustees have concluded that it is necessary for the charity to hold reserves in order to:

1. Defray the cost of unexpected expenditures

2. Amass funds for the replacement of time-expired fixtures and fittings.

3. Finance or provide match funding towards improvements and new facilities.

The Level of Reserves

1. As at 31[st] December 2020, the Charity had no assets or liabilities pending the finalisation of opening new bank accounts. Due to the Covid pandemic this process has taken longer than anticipated. Once a fully operational bank account is available the assets and liabilities of Registered Charity 214953 will be transferred to the CIO.

1. A new Reserves policy will be agreed at the point of transfer.

Funds Held as Custodial Trustees

The charity does not hold any funds as a Custodial Trustee.

Public Benefit Statement

The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commissioners in exercising their powers and duties.
