Activities

The Trust was established for the public benefit with the purpose of providing recreational facilities in the interest of social welfare. During the period the Trust has carried out their objectives through the provision of a range of leisure and recreation services across Gt Yarmouth and East Suffolk.

Objects: 1. To Provide Or Assist In The Provision Of Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disability, Financial Hardship Or Social Circumstances With The Object Of Improving Their Condition Of Life; And/or2. To Provide Or Assist In The Provision Of Community Rooms And Other Facilities For The Use By The Public At Large Without Distinction Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions Including Use For Meetings, Lectures And Classes; And Other Forms Of Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Inhabitants; And/or3. To Promote Community Participation In All Forms Of Healthy Recreation Both Indoors And Outdoors And, In Particular, Water Sports Activities By The Following Means (inter Alia):(a) To Provide Or Assist In The Provision Of Boating And Sailing Facilities Both Inland And On The Foreshore For The General Public For Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life Of Such Persons;(b) To Provide Lifeguards To Promote Safe Use Of Such Facilities And Where Required To Provide Relief To Those In Need Of Help Of Any Kind; And/or4. To Advance Awareness, Knowledge And Appreciation Of The Arts In All Forms Including But Not Limited To Drama, Dance, Sculpture, Painting, Music, Singing, Cinema And Literature; And/or5. To Advance The Education (both Academic And Vocational) Of The Public And, In Particular (but Not Limited To) Young People From The Age Of 16 In Subjects Of Sports, Sports Management And Related Subjects, With A Particular Focus On (but Not Limited To) General Sports, Recreation, Football, Health And Fitness; And/or6. The Relief Of Sickness And The Preservation Of Health By Providing Specialist Exercise Programmes For Those Who Have A Health Condition Or At Risk Of Health Condition, Arising From A Sedentary Or Inactive Lifestyle; And/or7. Such Other Charitable Purposes Consistent With The Above As The Trustees In Their Absolute Discretion Shall Determine.
