The Trustees confirm that they have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit when reviewing the company’s aim and objectives and in planning future activities.

Achievements and Performance
During the financial year, DAW delivered its services in Nairobi-Kenya through the National Hospital Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) where majority of the underprivilege patients attend for their treatment. These services are run monthly but due to the sheer number of patients and limited resources we have had to cut down on wigs given out and will be seeking new donors and grants to expand the programme. On the other hand, makeup and confidence classes have been delivered successfully.

Fundraising Activities: During the year we were limited in organising fundraising events to support the work of the charity. But we received Generous donations from individuals who have engaged with the charity from its inception.
In December 2021 we also partnered with local organisations SOHW and the National Broadcaster KTN to give a good Christmas “Feeding Program” to all the patients and their families. = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v 8xiCrjtK2Sg

Future Plans
The charity will continue to work with the partnerships already established with the KNH and other local Cancer Support to enable the charity to reach and provide support to more people with cancer.
For the coming year DAW intents to continue expanding its services to other local hospitals, for this to happen we would look to increase our workforce through volunteers and the number of resources required to deliver an effective service.
In 2023 we are planning to expand and reach more vulnerable local women through collaboration with more local health-centres and also acquiring a base of operations that would make it easier in operation.
