West Hert5 Environmental Foundation I'the Foundation.) was founded on 4, March 2020. The
Foundation's full name is The West Herts Environmental Foundation. this can be shortened to
WHEF.

The objectives of the Foundation are to promote for the benefit of the public the advancement of
envlronmental protection and improvement in West Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.
The activities during the year were:
l. A grant of £1,500 was made to The Woodland Trust as a contribution to the maintenance and
protection of the recent tree planting in Harrocks Wood by Rickmansworth, Herts.
2. A grant of £1.500 was made to The Serge Hill Project cic towards their environmental work in
Bedmond. Herts with Schools and Communty groups.
3. The Foundation has raised signiticant sums from public donation5 and matched funding, donor
nominated for opposition to the proposed expansion at Luton Airport and the consequent
detrimental impact on the environment of West Herts. Grants totaling £25,474 were made
during the year to Luton and District Association for the Control of Aircraft Noise I"LADACAN°I
to contrlbute to their external costs of opposing the proposed expansion through a Judicial
Review.

The Foundation 15 a charity with a long term time horizon seeking to make a positive impact on the
environment in West Hertford5hire. The impart of the Foundation's various initiative5 will also be long
term.
The Foundation's grant making performance, raising £74.338 lincluding Gift Aid) and making grants of
£28.474 was satisfactory. Further significant grants have already been made in the 2025126 financial
year.
The Foundation's expenses have been kept to £350, less than 0.1% of ￿ndS raised.
The Trustees would like to thank those that have given their time without charge, including the Hon
Treasurer, Mr. Graham Meager and the Independent Examiner, Mr. Pierre Okusi.
The Trustees of the Foundation have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on
publlc benefFt.

Donations of £67,576 were received during the year. Administrative costs of £350 were incurred
during the year by the Foundation and made donations of £28,474 resulting in a prolit of £45,514.
The Foundation's cash at bank at 30 September 2025 w35 £59,826.

I review the accounts for the charityfor the year ended 30, September 2025 which is set
out on the following pages.
This review is made solely to the Board of Trustees of West Herts Environmental Foundation as a
body. My review has been undertaken 50 that I might state to the Board of Trustees, those matter5
l am required to state to them in a review and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted
by law. I do not ac￿Pt or assume responsibility to anyone other than the charity and the Board of
Trustees as a body for my review, for this report or for the opinions S have formed.
RESPEcfivE RESPONSIBIUTIES OF THE TRUSTEES
As the Board of Trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements.
BASIS OF INDEPENDENT REPORT.
A review includes a review of the accounting records kept by the chartty and a comparison of the
accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or
disclosures in the accounts and seeking any explanations from you as the Board of Trustees,
concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that
would be required in an audit. and consequently I do not express an audit opinion or the view given
by the accounts.
Independent statement
In connection with my review, no matter has come to my attention:
l. Whith give5 me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements
to keep accounting records. and
6 to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and to comply with the
accounting requirements have not been met. or
