Objectives
To enhance the development and education of children in wales, for the public benefit, encouraging parents to understand and provide for their needs through high quality child care provision.
To provide a service to parents to allow them to work whilst the children are provided with a safe and fun environment
To provide fun activities and engaging play for the children.
Ensuring our work delivers our aims
Each year we complete a quality survey with our staff, children and parents.
We review our activities for the year and plan for the next 12 months activities and make any changes highlighted by the survey.
The focus of our work
Our main focus for the year was to offer the service throughout Covid and provide a safe environment for the children
Activities
This year through covid we have provided a safe fun environment for the children and offered a place to play and have fun,
Plans for the future
The charity plans to offer a full service both for after school and holiday club. We are now in the new bigger hall. The charity has purchased new equipment and plans to offer new exciting activities to the children.
Financial Review
We have managed to survive through Covid with the help of the furlough payments we have managed to keep all our staff employed.
We are planning a new financial review once the club is fully up and running and looking into what grants we can obtain to make club a success
Principal funding sources
The principal funding is via parents’ payments £4897.00 and the 30 hour grant £1917.50
We also received a grant from xxxxx for £3837.25
Investment Policy
The club reserves £3,000 towards redundancies if the club has to close
The rest of the funds are spent on day to day running of the club, staff wages, insurance and equipment or activities
Structure, Governance and management Governing Document
The organisation is a CIO Association Constitution and was registered in March 2020
In the event of the charity being wound up the trustees are not required to contribute financially
Recruitment and Appointment of Trustees
The trustees of the charity for the purposes of charity law and under the charity’s Constitution are known as members of the Management Committee. Under the requirements of the Constitution the members of the Management Committee are elected to serve for a period of three years after which they must be re-elected at the next Annual General Meeting. All members of the Management Committee give their time voluntarily and received no benefits from the charity.
Trustee Induction and Training
Most trustees are already parents of children who attend the club.
Trustees are also provided with the following documents:- Cool Kidz Club Brynford governing document (Constitution), the latest published accounts, Future plans and objectives, Code of Conduct for Trustees/Volunteers/Staff and the Charity Commission’s guide “the Essential Trustee”. Trustees are also signposted to review all of the charity’s current policies, including GDPR.
Organisational Structure
Cool Kidz Club Brynford has a management committee of 5 trustees. The club is run by Linda Greenough and has 5 members of staff on its books who all work part time
The club can cater for a maximum of 24 children an runs in the hall at Brynford School
Related Parties
The Charity has a letting agreement with Brynford School.
The charity is registered and inspeacted by CIW
The charity also get support from Early years Wales and Clubia Plant.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2021 Responsibilities and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in examiner's statement connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
