The Friends of Velocity has once again had a difficult year as we continue to monitor the health of 2 of our Trustees – Claire Jackson and Dave Norman. Claire has sadly been diagnosed with breast cancer, although is making a good recovery and Dave continues to recover from a chronic health condition. 

As such we have not been in a position to engage on any fund-raising activity. We have however approved one grant from the funds currently in our bank account. This £1000 grant was to contribute towards the cost of some equipment that would benefit the gymnastic and trampoline participants, which includes the disabilities group. 

We have also pre-approved a further £150 grant to contribute towards the tuition fees for a neurodivergent club member who wishes to go down the pathway of obtaining a coaching qualification. We are awaiting finalization of his course details before this is paid. 

Our plan for 2025-26 is to potentially appoint 2 new trustees and then re-engage in some fundraising activity.
