Administrative information .
Bethel Central Church Maesteg is a Baptist Church situated in the County Borough of Bridgend.
Structure, Governace and Management .
Bethel Central Church Maesteg is managed by the minister and supported by the deacons and membership. It dealt with a variety of building and ministry issues over the year. Further changes have been made to the central heating system. The present system has been divided into 3 sections in order to save money.
The church is part of South Wales Baptist Association and also BUGB.
Objectives and Activities .
Bethel Central Church Maesteg provides resources and facilities for public worship, pastoral care, spiritual, moral and intellectual development, both for its members and for those who wish to benefit from what the church offers.
Worship is an integral part of church activities both on a Sunday and midweek since it is paramount that the Lord Jesus Christ is central to our activities. The members of the church are also encouraged to support other churches in ministry when requested.
On a Tuesday prayer meeting is held in the vestry and on Wednesday music practice. This is where we prepare for the following Sunday. The number attending is constantly growing. On Thursday the local choir, Cor Meibion Maesteg meets to hold its rehersals. Then on a Friday morning tea and coffee is held at the same venue. Here people can come in to relax in the company of others and discuss materialistic and spiritual problems with the church leadership. The church also works with INGRAFTED BRANCHES. This is a charity that works with disabled people from the community
The core belief of Bethania Church Maesteg state that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God. That Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He alone provides atonement for sin in His death and resurrection. The Holy Spirit is taught as being the third member of the trinity and indwells in individuals who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Section B Disclosure
Only complete if the examiner needs to highlight material matters of concern (see CC32, Independent examination of charity accounts: directions and guidance for examiners).
Give here brief details of any items that the examiner wishes to disclose .
Although the integrity of the accounts is not questioned, it is critical that the treasurer ensures that original invoices are retained for every item of expenditure. Where these are not available, for example for ministry gifts, a suitably authorised form should be used as a substitute. The authorised form should not be the norm. This principle must also apply to bank transfer payments made.
