The Trustees present their report and accounts for the period ended 30 June 2022.
The Trustees confirm that in reviewing and determining the objectives and activities for the period and in the future, they have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission General Guidance on public benefit.
Structure, governance and management
The Club was registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) on 3 March 2020. but commenced to operate as CIO as from 1 July 2020. The transactions for the period 3 March to 30 June 2020 were included in the accounts for the year ended 30 June 2020 submitted for Nottingham West Lions Club Charitable Trust Fund (charity number 1056976).
It is governed by its Constitution adopted on 6 June 2020.
The Trust is managed by the Trustees, as shown on page 2.
Objectives and activities
The objective of the Club is exclusively charitable in England and Wales including:
The advancement of citizenship and promoting the principles of good citizenship
Encouraging members to take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community
Key achievements for 2021/22
In addition to service activities for the benefit of local community the Club has made donations totalling £4,807.
Public benefit statement
The Club directly meets the needs of the public by continuing to target donations and service activities towards supporting the welfare of the community, both, directly and through other charities.
