Annual Report for year from 1st July 2024 to 30[th] June 2025.
1. Introduction
Reepham Lions Club was Chartered in October 2018 by the Lions Club International. This followed local consultations and invaluable support and guidance from the Lions District Governor and Taverham and District Lions Club.
It was formed to provide support to the community, small organisations and individuals in need of help, with priority given to the area in and around Reepham, Norfolk.
This took the form of both fundraising to provide support for identifiable projects and presenting events to enhance the community.
In February 2020 the Club was awarded Charitable Incorporated Organisation status, number 1188270.

- The Directors of the charity are elected from the membership annually, and comprise the President, the Secretary, the Treasurer and representatives of the membership.
A Club Service Group, comprising Club Members, considers future local activities, applications for funding from individuals and community groups, and makes recommendation to the meeting of the full Club Membership.
The Club Members meeting is held monthly to conduct business, including granting financial support, fund raising and the provision of community activities.

The governing documents of this charity are as provided by Lions Club International, Multi District 105, British Isles, and were adopted on the 7[th] November 2019.

This charity exists to provide public benefit, by supporting individuals and community groups, and providing activities in support of our local community.

Services provided by Reepham Lions Club CIO during this reporting period, were as follows:
-27[th] July 2024; The Club once again provided a children and family orientated fete, in collaboration with The Bircham Centre charity, to celebrate Norfolk Day. There were free games and ice creams for the children and sale of refreshments for adults. Our 2024 Raffle opened at this event.

9[th] and 10[th] August 2024; At the Reepham Festival our Club ran a tombola and continued our raffle ticket sales.

6[th] November 2024; The Annual Raffle concluded at our Charter Lunch raising £902 net. A separate raffle on that day raised £308.

3[rd] to 8[th] December; We held a very popular Christmas Tree Festival in St. Mary’s Church, Reepham. It was primarily a community event but also raised significant funds, shared with the Parochial Church Council.

Throughout the year we have collected used spectacles, which are forwarded for transfer to developing countries.
Our donations to good causes during this period included:

August 2024; GoGo Safari charity in support of Break charity.

August 2024; Memorial birdbath in tribute to our late Lion Emma Rossetti, placed in the Bircham Centre Garden.

November 2024; We made a donation to the North Norfolk Foodbank.

November 2024; We donated toys worth £150 to the Central Coop Charity appeal to donate Christmas presents to disadvantaged children.

February 2025; Donation to Lions Club International’s Stoves for Ukraine Project, initiated by Finland Lions.

April 2025; We made a donation to Headway Norfolk in support of their valuable work with people with brain injuries.

April 2025; We donated a bench to The Bircham Centre to encourage lonely people to sit and talk with others.

May 2025; A donation was presented to Fakenham and District First Responders to support their technology enabling effective location of people in an emergency situation.
Membership changes:
We were very saddened to have lost one of our Lion members, John Vertigan who passed away in October 2024, he is greatly missed.
In contrast, we were very pleased to enrol a new Lion, Peter Grundy in January 2025.
Conclusion:
The Lionistic year 2024/ 2025 has been successful for the services we have been able to deliver for Reepham and surrounding areas, and we look forward optimistically.
