Annual Report for year from 1st July 2022 to 30[th] June 2023.
1. Introduction
Reepham Lions Club was Chartered in October 2018 by the Lions Club International. This followed local consultations and invaluable support and guidance from the Lions District Governor and Taverham and District Lions Club.
It was formed to provide support to the community, small organisations and individuals in need of help, with priority given to the area in and around Reepham, Norfolk.
This took the form of both fundraising to provide support for identifiable projects and presenting events to enhance the community.
In February 2020 the Club was awarded Charitable Incorporated Organisation status, number 1188270.

- The Trustees of the charity are elected from the membership annually, and comprise the President, the Secretary, the Treasurer and a representative of the membership.
A Club Service Group, comprising Club Members, considers future local activities, applications for funding from individuals and community groups, and makes recommendation to the meeting of the full Club Membership.
The Club Members meeting is held monthly to conduct business, including granting financial support, fund raising and the provision of community activities.

The governing documents of this charity are as provided by Lions Club International, Multi District 105, British Isles, and were adopted on the 7[th] November 2019.

This charity exists to provide public benefit, by supporting individuals and community groups, and providing activities in support of our local community.

Services provided by Reepham Lions Club CIO during this reporting period, were as follows:
30[th] July 2022, The Club once again provided a children orientated fete, in collaboration with The Bircham Centre charity, to celebrate Norfolk Day. There were free games and ice creams for the children and sale of refreshments for adults. The 2022 raffle was launched.
6[th] August 2022, We had a stand at the very successful Reepham Festival, a music festival, to sell raffle tickets and provide information about the role and purpose of our Lions Club.
24[th] October 2022, The Club responded to need for large play carpeting at a local children’s playgroup, TotsSpot, by purchasing and donating two very colourful and popular ones, for £330.
8[th] November, The Club donated £250 to North Norfolk Foodbank.
18[th] November 2022 The Club donated £100 worth of Christmas presents to Central England Co-op’s project to provide presents to children of families in need.
30[th] November 2022 The setting up of the Reepham Lions second Christmas Tree Festival began, with it opening to the public from the 1[st ] December, with the day of Reepham’s Festival of Light, and continuing to the 4[th] December 2022. It was held in St. Mary’s Church, Reepham and proved once again to be a very popular community event, and a successful fund raiser. 50% of the proceeds were shared with the Parochial Church Council.
9[th] February 2023, In response to the North Norfolk Ukraine Generator Appeal, the Club donated £500 directly to that cause.
14[th] February 2023, The Club bought an antifatigue mat for Scrapbox, a re-use, recycling and renew charity premises.
14[th] March 2023, £100 was donated to Norfolk Knitters and Stitchers for purchase of materials.
7[th] May 2023 The Club provided assistance and children’s games at . the Reepham celebrations on the Coronation of King Charles 3[rd]
8[th] June 2023, £250 was donated to the North Norfolk Foodbank.
28[th] June 2023 the Club provided a food related tombola at the Reepham Food Festival.
Throughout the year we collected used spectacles which were sent to Chichester Lions Club, for transportation to people in need in third world countries.
9. Conclusion
This has proved to be a year when we have successfully served our locality and made a positive difference to many people’s lives.
