Aims
TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS IN BROADWATER COFE PRIMARY SCHOOL, WORTHING, IN PARTICULAR BY ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES OR PROVIDING FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT WHICH SUPPORT THE SCHOOL AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS.
This helps children and young people and those with disabilities whom are registered on the school roll of pupils by making grants to support education in terms of facilities, environment or any provision in respect of educational need.
We own no assets and fundraise to gain income for the school via a group of volunteers who were very limited as to how to raise funds due to Covid restrictions on our usual fundraising activities. During the Covid lock downs the charity was supported by a sole volunteer and the trustee board whilst it was predominantly dormant. Attempts were made via Zoom meetings to resurrect larger scale fundraising but we were hampered by restrictions and lack of volunteers.
Some of our routine activities took place, such as personalising christmas cards and goods for sale to families and this was again popular and successful . We continued to support school activities by providing Christmas lunch tables with party favours in a covid safe manner. A big fund source for us was the distribution of secondhand
uniforms which was donated to us, and then passed on for donations (parents made the choice as to how much based on their own situations).
We also produced leavers hoodies for sale and ran a mini summer fair for the leaving students as well as providing the remaining school with party supplies in lieu of the full summer fair.Due to our commitments to supporting the school, we spend a big chunk of our funds on ICT equipment, which all in meant our efforts for this year were largely spent within the year.
