The band has had a busy year building on the SUCSS of last yearfs recruttment arKI busy schedule. All leamers are making excellent progress. Pa 1.zl In February 2025, the band joined with other bands Irom the Midlands area to perft)rni at the Birmingham Tattoo at the NEC Arena. This was a fantastic OPF4)rtunrty to network wrth other bands and perform in front of a large audienc8. Some of the pipers performing at this event were perfomiing in public for the first time. In July we perfomied at tt)e Oakengates Carnrval. taking part in ts marthing parade. This was the first time the band has perfonned at this event and we look for4vard to retuming again in the future. Looking forward to the next year, we are partiapating in the Oakengates Town Remembrance Day Par&Je in November 2024 and have already arranged several perfomian¢es in 2026. Tuition and band praclice continues to run weekly at West Midlands Fire Service HQ in Birniingham, who provide the room free of charge. We currenty have 12 barKI members.
