On 23 June 2024. Spencer Lynx hosted
a summer tournament for Its members
and for Its Roehampton-based
programme, with over 100 local chlldren
taklng part. This enabled children and
thelr familles to stay engaged wlth their
new sport and their new frlends and
connectlons made through Involvement
In Spencer Lynx. We provided food and
refreshments after tho tournam8nt for
chlldren and famllles. who enjoyed
relaxing and mixlng in a club
envlronment. This forms part of
Inlroductlon lo Clubs Initlative. to help
famllles feel comfortable In a club
environment, increasing the posslbllfty
Ihat they wlll Support thelr children to
continue to Joln grassroot$ clubs after
our programme, and contlnue thelr
sportlng journeys.
Fundlng from the Wandsworth
Beneflciary Trust allowed us to appolnt
our first Director of Hockey, to start in
September 2024. We belleve that sho
wlll brlng consistency and quality to our
provislon.

Spencor Lynx members are drawn
together from at least 14 state primary
schools across Wandsworth and
Lambeth, from dlfferenl soclo-
economic, rfrligious and ethnlc
backgrounds. The ratio of glrls-boys Is
50.50. Children from low socio-
economic andlor mlnority ethnic
backgrounds arn priorltised.
In September 2023, 42 of our fourth
cohort of childrgn {Lynx 4) started their
second year of weekly hockey tralnlng
on Sundays. runnlng until end March
2024. In addltlon, a new flfth cohort
(Lynx 51 of 88 Chlldren (rncruited in the
summer term of 2023) stsrted thelr 2-
year programme at Spencer Lynx. Tho
total number of chlldren beneflting from
weekly tralnlng was thoreforo 130.

To koep members engaged durlng tho
off-season, Spancgr Lynx provlded
after-school hockey tralning during the
summer temi of 2024. Up to 30 members
took part.

We were successful In achleving a grant
from GolLondon in September 2023 of
£22,273.00. to cover 2 years of activitles
with Lynx 5. The monies are released In
64nonthly Instalments, followlng the
completlon af progress reports, and wo
have received £17,800.18 in this
flnan¢lal year.
We received fundlng from the
Wlmbledon Foundatlon. Actlve
Wandsworth and HMCK Charlty (the
latter via Ibstock School, our partners
on the project), to ¢over our new project
In Roehampton.
We addltionally recolvod grants from
Active Wandsworth (£1096), Tescos
<£1000} and Thomas's Foundation
(£2874).
In June 2024. we wgre granted £5000 by
the Wandsworth Beneflciary Trust to
appolnt as a Gontractor our firnt Dir•ctor
of Hockey. to Increase the quality and
conslstency of our provision, and to
covor a proportlon of our asslstant
oa¢hlng costs. for the soason 8tartlng
Septernber 2024.
We raised £26.033 In unrestricted funds
through donatlons, auctlon and raffle
asso¢lated wlth a fundraislng dinner.
Thls included £4,471 by auctionlng
Wimbledon Il¢kets donatod to us by the
Wlmbledon Foundatlon.
Addltlonal Income was generated by
donatlons. with a major donatlon from
Spencer Junlor Hockey Club (£5000),
and donatlons from members of
Spencer Hockey Club; and sponsorgd
running events.
HO￿ver. limllations on the avallability
of sorng granl fundlng to new projects
rather than continuatlon of existing and
successful projects continues to prove
challenging.
The charity has also sought fundlng
from national organlsatlons and funds,

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **30 / 06 / 2024** . **Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of  the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or 

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or 

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
