The trustees present their report V•ryth the financial ststements of the charity for
vear ended 31 December 2024. The tnjstees ￿ adopted the provisions of
Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice
applic3ble to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting StarKlard applicable in the UK and RepublK of Ireland IFRS 1021
{effective l Jan￿ry 20191. On l August 2020 the charrty convèrted from an
unincorpordted charity to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation
this
reorganisation was treated as a merger.
CONSftrLWllON
A group of Christians started meeting together in the Bush Hlll Park area In 2￿7
and established Bush Hill Park Community Church {"the Church) as a charity on
in luly 21￿. On l August 2020 the Church transFerred its attl￿tIeS to a
Charitsble Incorwrated Orranisation reeistered with the Charity Commission.
The Church is governed by a constitution established in July 2(M)9 and updated in
September 2019.
PRINapAL ACTMTY
The principal actlvity of the Church in the year under review was the
Prodamation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in Bush Hill Park and the
surn)undlng area and thr￿h support of Mission at home and abroad.
The Church provides SUPPOrtfor members of the Church and local communty.
APPOINTMENT OF OFFICIAL5
Nominations for a new Elder may be made at any time by the body of Elders.
The nomination requires the approval of the aiurch meeting wtth a minimum
threshold of 80% of those voting. kn Elder shall be appolnted for ffve years and
shall then be eligible for rtrelection.
Deacons may be appointed by the Elders. Tfv no fixed temi but are
reviewed annually. At preserrt there are no deacons appointed.
The Church Secretary is ￿SPOnSible for the induction of any new elder which
involves an awareness of the responsibilities of the position, the governing
dctument. and the Church's polFCV and procedures.

It is the intention of the Elders to continue the principal artivitles as set out
above.
REVIEW OF THE YEAR
Stuart Chaplin who has been the Pastor of the Church Sin￿ January 2015, left to
take up a new role in February 2025.
The Church has continued to hold services of worship every Sundayi which have
included preaching and bible teachin8 and throughout the year age related
activities for children have also been provided. All these meetings have been
open to the general public. who have been regularfy invited by leafièt campaigns
and press advertlsements.
We continue to support our missionary family in various parts of the UK and
abroad.
There We￿ no transactions With related partles during the year.
FINANaAL posmoN
The Church made a surplus on unrestricted funds- £7,94412023: surplus
£2.8261. Staff costs were lower as there empl￿ment of an administrator ￿ded
and income was boosted by interest income of £4.36312023: £1.211).
The Church made a gain on restrirted funds of £310.￿11 resulting from the
dlsposal of a property. The proceeds were included in the Development fund
which Incurred £26.211 {2023.. £8.(￿0) on the devdopment of new premises.
RESERVES POUCY
The objective is that the reserves of the Church are suffiaent to fund the
activities for three months. At this stage the level of reserves is below that
threshold. The elders continue to work towards building the level of reserves.
RISK MANAGEMENT
The elders have conducted a review of the major risks to which the church
would be exposed, and systems are bein£ implemented to mitigate tl)ose risks
where possible. The risks and systems wÈll be regularly reviewed.

The church's actfvltles rely on the commwtment of large number of volunteers.
The Church recoEnises the contribution that the volunteers make in the
sustaining of its attivities.
TRUSTEES RESPONSIBILMES
Ch3rity13w requires the trustees to prepare finan¢ial statements for each
financial year, which Eive a true and fair view of the state of affalrs of the church
and of its financial aetivitie5 for that period. In preparingthose financial
statements the elders and officials are required to:
(al select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
(b) makejudgements and estimates that are reasonable and pruden¢.
(c} state whetherthe F)olicies adopted are in accordance wrth SORP 2(KJ5 and
with applicable accounting standards. subjett to any material departures
dlsclosed and explained in the financial statements,.
Id) prepare the financial statements on the goirE con￿rn basi5 unless it 15
inapproprlate to assume that the Church will continue.
The Èlders and deaeons are responsible for keepiNd accounting record5 which
disclose with reasonable accuraw the financial position of the Church and to
enable them to ascertain that the financlal statements comply with the Charities
Act 1993. They are also responsibl@ for safeguarding the a$5ets of the Chureh
and hente for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud
or other i￿egUlar1ties.

My exarnination was tarried out in accordan￿ with the General Directions given by the
Charity Commissioners. An examination Indudes a revlew of the accounting records kept by
the chartty and a comparison of accounts presented with those records. It also includes
Consideration of any unusual iterns or disdosures in the accounts and seekirb8 explanatlons
from you as trustees Co￿eming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide
all the evidence thatwould be required in an audit. and consequently I do not express an audit
opinion on the view given by the accounts.

In connection with my examinatTon, no matter has come to my attention:

Basls of preparfngihe flnancial Statem￿ and asses$n￿ of goiry concern
The finanaal statements of the tharity, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have
been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 'Accountin8 and Reporting
by Charities: Statement of Recommended Prattice applicable to charities preparing their
accounts in attordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland {FRS 102} (effective October 20191,. the Charities Act 2011 and the
Charities Act 2011. The financial statemerrts have been prepared under the historical cost
convention.
The tmstee5 consider that there are no rnaterial Un￿rtaIntieS about the Church's ability to
continue as a going Con￿rn.
Incoming resources
Voluntary income 15 received by way of donations and grfts and is included in fvll in the
ststement of Financial Artivities when rc is receivable. Legac￿5 and donations are included
In the Ststement of FinancFal Activitses in the year in which they are received.
Donations arlsing under GrftAtd are accounted for on the dats of re￿Ipt and provisions are
made for income tsx remaining undaimed at the year end.
No value of Servi￿ by volunteers has been induded in these accounts.
