DAVID ROBERT STONES is also a trustee of Coatham House and Footprints in the Community

WILLIAM JOHN HARRISON is also a trustee of The Clifton Centre Community Association

From early 2020 until mid-2021 alongside most other organisations of our type we suffered heavily from the restrictions of Covid 19, we were unable to earn any income from concerts or subs until midway through 2021 as obviously as the band did not rehearse for over a year, we were unfortunate in that once we returned we initially struggled to get the whole band together and any concerts that we gave, we had to rely on borrowed player’s who in the most case gave freely of their time.

As we went into 2022 things started to get back to some sort of normality for the band, our playing numbers increased, and also as a result of the end of lockdown a number of organisations and community groups started to invite us to play again, and during 2022 the band performed a total of 6 concerts throughout the North East, at venues such as Beamish Museum, Saltburn Bandstand x 2, Kildale Show, Ropner Park and Middlesbrough Cenotaph for the Remembrance Day Parade and Service.

Our Concert numbers for the 2022 season were slightly down on an average year, again this was a carry over from the Covid Restrictions.

Our musical repertoire is very eclectic, and ranges from Modern Pop Songs, Classical, Military Type Marches, Modern Classics, with a little bit of Jazz and Swing music as well.

Financially the charity is holding its own, with a small amount of reserves, during the period 10[th] March 2022 – 9[th] March 2023 our cash flow showed a very small surplus of £363.00 which will be carried over to the next financial period.

David Robert Stones.
