SARBAT DA BHALA DERBY REPORT OFTHE TRUSTEE'S
FOR THEYEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025
The Trustee's present their annual report with the accounts of the charityfor the year ended 31°
March 2025.
Appolntment of Trustees
The appointment of trustees is governed by the TTUSt Deed of the charity- The Board of Trustees
are authorised to appoint new trustees to fillvacancies arising through resignation or death of
any existing trustees.
Constitutlon. Objects and PoliGI8S
The Trtjstees are aware of the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit reporting as set
out in the Charitie8 Act 2011. The Trustees beli8ve that Its objectives and activities of promoting
the spiritual and religious advanGement of the Sikh faith arc forthe general benefit of the public.
Development, Activlties and Achlevement
Duringthe year the charity has maintained a temple in Derby. It is open Saturdays and Sundays
for the public and members to Vi51t, worship and seek comfort.
The management committee promote use of the temple for cultural and religious functions
connected with births, de8ths and marriages. Also, the temple is made available for local
community groupsto hold meetings and events.
Flnanclal Revlew
The trustees consider the performance of the charity to be satisf8Ctory.
The charity's main source of fund continues to be donations and box collections. All funds are
unrestiicted 2nd are used to meet expernditures. Surplus funds are held at bank and are used to
meet unforeseen expenditure that may occur.
FinanGlal statements
The trustees have been considering holding more regular lectures and seminars.
Statement of Trustee's responsibilities
The trustees are required under the constitution of the charity to prepare financial accounts for
each year which give a true and fair view of the state of alfairs of the charity and its results for
that period. In Preparing those financial accounts the trustees are required to:
select suitable accounting policies and then 8pplythem consistently.
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.
state whether the applicable accounting standards have been followed. subject to any
material departures disclosed and explained in the financial accounts.,
prepare the financial accounts on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to
presume that the company will continue in business.

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time thè financial position of the charity. They 8re also responsible
for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the
prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
Accountants
A resolution proposingthat Chesterton House Accounting Services LLP be reappointed as
Accountants of the charity will be put to the Annu81 General Meeting.

I report to the trustees on my ex8mination of the 8ccounts of the obove charity 1.the Trust") for
the y88rended 31 March 2025.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the a¢¢ounts in accordance
with the requlrements of the Charities Act 20111-the Act")-
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 ot
the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination. I have lollowed all the applicable Directions
given by the Charity Commission under section 14515llbl of the Act.
Independent exarniner'¥ staternent
I have Completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have com8 to my
attention In connection with the examination whl¢h gives me cau88 to believe that in, any
material respect..
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Ch8ritl8S
Act; or
the accounts did not accord with the accountin8 records; or
the o¢¢ounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and
content of 8eeounts set out in the Ch8rities (Accounts and Reportsl Regulations 2008
other than any requirement that the accounts give a'trve and fair, view which is not
matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come 8cross no othermatters in connection with the examination
to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding ot
the a¢¢ountsto be reached.
