|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|The green was open for the entire bowling<br>season, April-October, entirely due to the<br>commitment made by our members.<br>We hosted several open days which were<br>well attended by the local community, in<br>addition to our annual open pairs<br>tournament that continues to attract top<br>players from the region.<br>The availability of the green has been<br>important to local people since it offers a<br>place where they can meet social, even for<br>non-bowlers who drop in to watch games<br>and enjoy the banter.<br>In 2023 we hosted members of the Phoenix<br>project, a support organisation for those<br>with complex learning difficulties. For many<br>of our volunteers, this has been the<br>highlight of the season.<br>A weeklong bowling extravaganza was<br>held in May.|

By improving the<br>quality of the playing surface, we can<br>attract more members thus enabling us to<br>become less reliant on grants due to the|





expected increase in funds from membership fees. As our engagement with local medical and disability groups extends the number of visitors to the green, the uneven surface of the access ramp and surrounding path presents an increasing risk to the safety of the people we are trying to help. To mitigate this we are hoping to raise funds, specifically from a grant made to SUEZ communities fund, to improve the access. Other
