Peter Such STRvcfuRE. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT Broadstsirs and St Peter's Heritage Foundation is a charitsble incorporated organisation governed by the constitution adopted on 3 July 2019. The charity was registered with the Charity Commission in February 2020. Broadstsirs and St Peter's Heritage Foundation is a member of the Heritsge Trust Network. All trustees give their time voluntary and received no remuneration or other benefits. Trustees are appointed at the Annual General Meeting and hold office forthree years. In selecting individuals for appointment as trustees, the existing trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effecting administration of the charity. BROADSTAIRS AND ST PETER'S HERrrAGE FOUNDATION TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE PEIUOD ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2023 OBJEcllvES AND ACTnimES The objective of the Broadstairs and St Peterfs Heritsge Foundation is to advance the education in the historical heritage of Broadstairs and St Peter's, in particular by: collecting and prese￿Ing artefacts and documents relating to the area maintaining an up to date online photographic archive collecting and publishing associated information, including oral and written records providing an educational resource by staging exhibitions, talks and other events providing a heritage centre for locals and visitors recording, preserving and disseminating the historical memories of those living in the area We continue to maintain momentum by clarifying what is required to more the Foundation forward. In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings. ACHIEVEMENfs AND PERFORMANCE Having clarified the next steps we received a grant of £10,000 from The Charles Burnett llt Memorial Fund to finance the appointment of a librarian/digitiser to categorise the assets currently held by the Trustees. FINANCIAL REVIEW The Broadstsirs and St Peter's Heritsge Foundations had receipts of £10,OCQ12022.' £500) and payments of £10,655 (2022: £100) during the year. This gives net payments for the year of £655 (2022: net receipt of £4iXI). The bank balance carried forward at 31 December 2023 was £2,951 12022: £3,606).
