Royal Chester Rowing Club promotes
the sport of amateur Rowing in and
around Chester and seeks to enable all
in the c(¥nmunity to partiGipats either

The Club's membership is open to all
and the club offers rowing to people
with all levels of experiencè; the club
offers "learn to row courses" for adults
and a junior summer school to
introduce people with no rtywing
experience who can then decide
whether they wish to join as long-temi
members. Rowing is an aerobic sport
which has health benefits for all and the
club brings rowing to people from age
12 to 80 Ius.

engage further with its local community.
Our facilities were shared with several
other nming clubs across the country
to help with their training programmè&
Improvements were made to the
operation of Open Events we organise
for raclng on the river D￿. including
greater emphasis on feedback from
participants. These events provide
showcase for the sport to local
residents.
The main achlèvem•nt of the charity
continues to be offering the oppOr￿nIty
of healthy exercise to residents of
Chester and surrounding areas. Our
Learn To Row courses attract circa SO
Starters with generally 75% continuing
to rowing membership las previous
years). The reduction in LTR courses
reflected better momber retsntlon
through an improved coaching program
and consequent restrictions due to
squad I site capacity. The Summer
School programme continuès to prove
very successful involving 60+ young
people (50150 boyslgirls) learning to row
wtth 7 coaches and 22 junior helpers.
