Chair’s Report – 2020-21

This report covers April 2021 until March 2022. During this period we were still deep in the pandemic and dealing with the ever-changing government guidelines. It remained such a difficult time for so many people, especially our clients. Once again, our volunteers rose to the challenge to ensure everyone could be supported during that unprecedented time. Thank you to all of you for your time, it made such a difference in those dark days.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to hold our regular events once again, but we have tried to do as much as we can in the circumstances. Some of our key achievements include:

I am sure we are all very happy to now be moving beyond the pandemic and hopefully next year’s report will reflect that. In the meantime, thank you once again to you all for your efforts and the impact you have on our community.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF

RICHMOND GOOD NEIGHBOURS

I am reporting on the accounts of the Charity Richmond Good Neighbours, Charity No:1187997, for the year ending 31 March 2022.

The trustees and Organiser as directors of the charity are responsible for the preparation of the accounts.

It is my responsibility to state, based on the procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under section 145(5) (b) of the Act,

Basis of independent examiner's report:

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. The examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records.

It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from your Organiser and you as Trustees concerning any such matters.

Independent examiner's statement:

In connection with my examination, no material matters have come to my attention that give me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect there is any cause for concern to:

Minor details have already been satisfactorily discussed with the Charity’s Organiser who now has an assistant for a few hours once a week.
