## **Tŷ Ffynnon Childcare Report of trustees for year ending** The Trustees of Tŷ Ffynnon Childcare present their annual report and audited accounts for the year ended 31.03.21 and confirm they comply with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011, the trust deed and the Charities SORP (FRS 102). ## **OUR AIMS** Tŷ Ffynnon Childcare operates to provide wrap around care for the children who attend/will attend Ysgol Tŷ Ffynnon. Playgroup runs on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30 am to 11.30 am to provide stimulating activities and social skills for children aged from 2 years of age to pre-Nursery aged children. Playgroup is run by qualified members of Ysgol Tŷ Ffynnon staff. Nursery Plus provides care for Nursery aged children whose parents want to access an all day setting. Nursery Plus runs from 11.30 am to 3.00 pm and provides activities and social skills for the children who attend Nursery in the mornings. The skills taught in Nursery are continued in Nursery Plus as well as a wide variety of stimulating outdoor and indoor activities to develop learners self-confidence and social skills and to encourage an independent learner. After School Club provides care for all children who attend Ysgol Tŷ Ffynnon from 3.00 pm to 5.30 pm and is charged for. Activities are planned after discussion with the children attending the sessions and pupil voice is used to inform this planning. ## **REVIEW OF ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS** Pupil numbers for Playgroup are increasing and the children attending are attending Ysgol Tŷ Ffynnon once they are of Nursery age. Nursery Plus numbers are increasing and parents are accessing the voucher scheme to enable them to claim free child care. After School Club numbers are beginning to increase, through a variety of themed nights. ## **FUTURE PLANS** Another member of staff for playgroup to be recruited as the person who had been appointed has since resigned. A school-based TA is covering this role at present. Nursery Plus are continuing to increase their numbers through discussions with Nursery parents. After School Club continues to increase their numbers by holding themed nights to encourage more children to attend. The themes are discussed with children who currently attend After School Club and pupil voice is often used for ideas for themed nights. ## **OUR FINANCES,** The financial statements show net incoming resources for the year of £8,388.08. The principal source of income is fees for all of the settings. ## **OUR ETHOS, STRATEGY AND POLICIES** Our Trustees are responsible for overseeing the objectives set for all settings. The continued focus of our strategy is on the development of our pupils into independent learners, with a focus on their wellbeing. The Manager of After School Club and Nursery Plus ensure that the policies are kept up to date and approved by the Head and senior staff of Ysgol Tŷ Ffynnon. The day to day running of the clubs is overseen by the Head, supported by senior staff. The day to day administration is undertaken by the Managers within each setting. The Head oversees the recruitment of all staff for all clubs. When recruiting new trustees the important attribute is a passion for the work of our clubs within Schools and an understanding of education as a holistic and rounded experience of personal growth. We advertise locally and through our newsletter to parents. ## **GOVERNORS AND CHARITY TRUSTEES** The trustees of Tŷ Ffynnon Childcare are school staff or parents whose children attend our childcare settings. All trustees have served throughout the year.
