Overvlew of the Year
In the Summer of 2024. il was confirmed by the school that Little Chicks
would still be able to use the Early Years unil space each allernoon, bul
the area would not be used by the nursery class in the morning. This has
impacted us as we have previously l)een sharing the classroom

collecting and gathering new resources lo support the calming
environment and to reflect the nursery classroom lo support and easier
transition for pupils.
Al Christmas 2024 Mrs Wendy Howe resigned from her role al Little
Chicks and we welcomed Miss Claire Harrison lo join us. Claire has been
working hard within the last year lo write many policies and develop the
environment lo a child led learning space. Claire has been on Play work
training and implemented this into the planning ol resources and aclivitl8S
for the children.
The children have enjoyed many children led activities throughout the
year and thoroughly enjoyed the experiences that we offered. We have
had some sessions with Diddy Dance and these were enjoyed by all.
Our Open Afternoon combined with Early Years for the new September
cohort was very successful this year with twice as many parents
attending from the previous year and 17 families iegislered an interest lor
