Slough Community Church Part of the Countess of Huntingdon’s Connexion Annual Report for Feb 2020 – June 2021 presented March 2022
In February 2020 Rosedale Community Church (Rosedale) submitted an application to the Charities Commission and received confirmation of its registration on 13th February 2020. This is the first annual report for Slough Community Church
Aims and Objectives
Slough Community Church, is a Christ centred community dedicated to impacting Slough, our nationand beyond with the love of God in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We are committed to:

providing Christian education and spiritual support to the congregation and the community.

providing pastoral care to the congregation and the community.

providing a venue for community groups.

supporting charities and mission both in the UK and overseas as we are able.
Christian Education and Spiritual Support
• Over the past year Slough has met weekly for public worship and the preaching of the scripture using Zoom online meeting platform.
Community Engagement
The church supporting Antz Kidz an OFSTED registered breakfast & afterschool centre in Slough with food that help to feed children that their family facing financial hardship dur to the Covid situation
The church also support Quinomay Elementary School located at Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. We provided A4 paper and ink that allow the school to print material for the whole school as it is not possible for the children to purchase them.
General Data Protection Regulations
In compliance with the GDPR we maintain good practise and follow our policy with regard to the signed agreements from all our members regarding the use of their personal data. With the challenges of Coronavirus lockdown others who wish to receive our weekly e-mails have been included, and will be followed up with a form once the lockdown is over.
Safeguarding
Slough is covered by the Connexions membership of the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service. All policies and procedures have been reviewed and updated where required.
Coronavirus Impact
With the Coronavirus lockdown our hall was closed for worship and all community groups from Friday 20[th] March as a result our income has dropped.
As our main Sunday wordship has moved to online meeting platform; we were not paying for the hall hiring. This has a positive impact on the balance sheet as the spending has dropped
Structure, governance and management
Slough Community Church (CIO) members are the leadership team of the church and elected by those in fellowship.
The team currently includes:

Puay Teck Ong (Treasurer)
The members of Slough (CIO) have met quarterly.The members are responsible for making all decisions of general concern and importance to Slough, including deciding how the funds should be spent. The trustees hold meetings as necessary, and in accordance with our constitution also make decisions by email and phone.
