Trustees Annual Report 2022 – 2023
The balance sheet of this year was not discussed at the Cylch Meithrin Mwy Abergele AGM as the treasurer Julia Taylor was ill and was at Christie’s hospital, Manchester where she then passed away on 17[th] of March 2023. This is the first year that Ethel Nerys Sandland as the manager of the setting has completed the annual report.

The continuation of the government funded 30 hours of free childcare continues to have a very positive effect on Cylch Meithrin Mwy Abergele registration numbers. Numbers of Children registered at the Cylch Meithrin Myy Abergele for this annual report is 59 children, and a waiting list of 12 children is also a positive effect on the finances for this report. Meithrin Mwy wrap round care will continue to be for children who attend Glan Morfa school only. Ti a Fi will continue on a Thursday morning at the local family hub, this will have a positive encouragement registration for the Cylch. Due to Julia Taylor the treasurer being ill our usual fundraising has decrease however we hope to manage to appoint a treasurer in the near future to replace Julia. We will continue to apply for extra grants and funding.

We were successful in obtaining grants from Conwy Council, early years and continued to develop our outdoor area to follow the new curriculum of Wales.

We are currently employing five members of full time staff including a manager and comanager as well as three cylch assisstants. But we are looking into employing another member of full time.
