Mas id & Imambar ah Shudae Karbala Chairman's Re for the Year Ended 30 JLJne 2023 Our performance has been satisfactory this year with progress made in all 8ectors. We have now in pace a mole modern children school (on Sundays) especially with the help and donation of laptops from the local authority, London Borough of Newham. We have also appointed a new female scholar to deal with the ladies-only issues and matters of religion private to the ladies. We have continued our free food service for the community on Thursdays which has been a great success locally. Our busiest occasions are Ramadan and Moharram and both event were well managed by the committee. The trustees have adopted the provisions of the Slalement of Recommended Practice (SORP) Accounting and Reporting by Charities'issued in March 2005. INCORPORATION The charitable company was incorporated ON 1 June 2019 and commenced trading on the same date. Mas id & Imambar ah Shudae KartJa5a Note ncial Statemen for the Year Ended 30 June 2023 ACCOUNTING POLICIES Basis of preparing the financlal statements The financial statements of the charitable company, which is a public benefit enlily under FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounling and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Praclice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance wilh Ihe Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective 1 January 2019),, Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. Incomg All income is recognised in the Statement of FinanGial Activities On the charity has entitlement lo the funds, it is probable Ihat the income will be reiVed and the amourrt can be measured reliably. Expendlture Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the charity to that expenditure, il is probable that a transfer of economic benefi'ts will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs callnol be directly attributed lo particular heading5 they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistenl with Ihe use of resources.
