At Blackburn and Darwen Shopmobility we hire out mobility scooters and wheelchairs to individuals with disabilities within the town centre 'enabling a fuller life'. We have a team of volunteers who are able to assist customers with their needs.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:-1. To Relieve Persons Living In Blackburn With Darwen And Elsewhere In The County Of Lancashire Who Are Elderly, Disabled, Infirm Or Incapacitated By Providing And Assisting In The Provision Of Items And Facilities For Such Persons, In Particular Items Such As Wheelchairs And Similar Equipment, Thereby Increasing The Mobility Of Such Persons, And Enabling Them To Have Improved Access To Blackburn And Darwen Town Centres.2. To Relieve All Physically Disabled Persons Visiting Blackburn And Darwen Town Centres Regardless Of Where They Live By Supporting Their Use Of Mobility Scooters And Wheelchairs In The Town Centres For Their Benefit.
