The group promotes the objects of the national body Riding for the Disabled including Carriage Driving charity (reg no 2441081 and has been active since 1998 providing riding for the disabled and people with special needs at the College of West Anglia, Milton, Cambridgeshire. The intention is to have sufficient expertise amon85t the Trustees to ensure all activities of the group are properly overseen and carried out (rider and horse welfare, rnanagement of volunteers, finance. and 80vernancel, along with compliance with RDA UK'S requirements re8arding insurance, training, health and safety and risk management. Actlvltles sn year The group provides lessons once a week for about sixteen disabled young adult riders during the College term times. During the year the group took on two new riders. There are nine on a waiting list. These lessons improve their confidence, health, mobility and social skills. During the year twelve of the riders took part in the RDA East Region Qualifier competitions and seven of these qualified for the RDA National Championships. Durin8 the year the group sold one pon¥ and bought two new ponies.
