Structure and objects of the charlty
On l April 2021 the charity took over the activities of Cambridge College Riding for the Disabled
Association Ire8 no 10744291 having registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation on 4
February 2020. The group promote5 the objects of the national body Riding for the Disabled
Including Carriage Driving charity Ireg no 2441081 and has been active Since 1998 providing riding for
the disabled and people with special needs at the College of West Anglia. Milton. Cambridgeshire.

Tomoko Sembon8i retired on 16, April after the year end to return ro Japan
The Trustees are appointed by the existing Trustees and approved by the members at the AGM. The
intention is to ensure there is sufficient expert15e amongst the Tru5tee5 to ensure all activities of the
group are properly overseen and carried out (rider and horse welfare, management of volunteers,
flnance. and governance). along with compliance with RDA UK'S requirements regarding insurance,
training, health and Safety and risk management.
ArtJ¥ltles lfi year
The group provide5 lessons once a week for al)out sirteen disabled young adult riders durin8 the
College term times. During the year the group took on two new riders. There are nine on a waiting
list. These lessons improve their confidence, health, mobility and social skills. During the year twelve
of the riders took part in the RDA East Region Qualifier competitions and seven of these qualified for
the RDA National Championships.
A new FM)ny was acquired during the year Isub5equently x>ld and replaced) and another retired at
the end of the Summer term 2024. The group will be looking for a new replacement for a horse that
is due to retire.

On the 2 May 2023 the 8roup Invested a further £IS.OCX) ol Charllund units and the market value
of the group's Investments was £ 101.267 at 31. Mirch 202412023 - £84,733).

The group aims to cover its day to day costs from the income earned from its Trnvestments, donations
from Its rlder5, Gift Ald reclalmed, and 21J) Club. From 2023124 the group decided to stop payln8
annual insurance for wets, fees for the horses and instead to set up an Insurance Reserve to cover
unexpècted ¥etS' CQSts. At 31. March 2024 thi5 Stood at ÉIO.CKKI. It also seeks Other donations to
cover any unforeseen costs but more particularly to bJlld up reserves to cover the costs of replacln8
or Introducini new ponles. At 31TI March 2024 this reserve stood at £ 8.378.
