an extra tuiiing tor tliL Ben Morris recital.
Llsing L 1,000 of restricted funds troni the MiLFidel Janies mu.sic Trust Matthew kelley
was appointed as our Or%aii ,kliolar. The trust also engaged the services ot- Eli7abeth
rceii as a singing coach tor tlie young clioristers.
A grant was ag¢lill niade to L411dei7iiis, to allow theni to offer a plaLe to a young singer
as part ot their annual suninier course.

The Rector, Trustccs and music stsff are now turning their attention to ￿-launChIng
the Min%ter Make% Mu%iL Ap￿dI to raise the funds for the Music Foundation which
wa5 the second aim of the Trust. It is ho￿$ to do this in the Sprins of 2024.

I reEXIrt to the trustees on my examination of the financial statements of Wimknrne Minster Musical
Heritage Trust (the trust) for the period ended 31 De£ember 2023
As the trustees of the trust you are respx)nsible for the preparation of the financial statements in
accordance with the ￿quireMents of the Charities Act 2011 (the 201 l Act)
I rewrt in resrect of my examination of the trust's financial statements carried out under section 145
of the 2011 Act. In carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable directions given by
the Charity Commission under section 145 15) (b) of the 2011 Act.
IndeFrndent Exaniiner's statenient
Since the trust's income did not exceed £2 1,000 the charity is not requiitd to have an audit, or an
independent examiner's rep)rt, but they have requested a rewrt to indicate iEst practice.
Your attention is drawn to the fact that the charitv has prepared financial stateiiieiits in accordance
with Accounting and Rewrting by Charities preparins their accounts in accordance with Financial
Reportins Standard applicable in the L'K and Republic ot Ireland IFRS 102) in preference to Accounting
by Charities.. Statement of Reconimended Practice issued on l April 2005 which is referred to in the
extant regulations but has now Eren withdrawn.
l understand that this has ￿en done in order for financial ststements to provide a true and fair view im
accordance with The Generally Accepted Accounting Practice effective for rewrting peri(Kts I￿gInnIng
on or after l January 2015.
I have completed my examination. I confirni that no matters have come to my attention in connection
with the examination siving me cause to irlieve that in any material re5￿Ct.
accounh.ng records were not kept in respect of the trust as required by section 130 of the
2011 Act- or
the financial statements do not accord with those records; or
the financial stalenients do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the
form and content of Accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts & Rewrts) Regulations 2008
other than any requirement that the accounts sive a true and fair view which is not a matter
considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come acn)ss no other matters in connection with the examination to
which attention should be drawn in this rep)rt in order to enable a pTh)￿r understsnding of the
financial statements to be reached.
