RAINBOW BABY BANK SUPPLY FAMILIES AND MOTHERS TO BE WITH BABY EQUIPMENT, NAPPIES, TOILETRIES, CLOTHING UPTO 5 YEARS, BABY FOOD AND INFANT FORMULA VIA EXTERNAL AGENCY REFERRAL ONLY. OUR SERVICE USERS ARE FAMILIES EXPERIENCING POVERTY, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, ASYLUM SEEKERS, UNEMPLOYMENT, HOUSING ISSUES, IMPRISONMENT & HUMAN TRAFFICKING/SEXUAL EXPLOITATION. THIS IS AN<br>INCREASE OF 52.8% COMPARED TO THE SAME PERIOD IN<br>2021/2022<br>•<br>IN JULY 2022, WE EXPANDED. THE BABY BANK WAS<br>SITUATED ABOVE OUR CHARITY SHOP AT 19 WESTGATE.<br>WE MOVED THE BABY BANK NEXT DOOR TO 21 WESTGATE.<br>THE LARGER PREMISES ENSURED WE COULD HOLD MORE<br>STOCK AND INCREASE OUR RESPONSE TIMES.<br>•<br>IN JANUARY 2023, WE PROUDLY OPENED A COMMUNITY<br>HUB WITHIN THE BABY BANK.  OFFERING SIGNPOSTING,<br>SESSIONS AND DROP INS RUN BY OUTSIDE AGENCIES,<br>DISCRETE COLLECTIONS. WE HAVE PEOPLE IN THE<br>COMMUNITY OFTEN CALL IN TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT<br>WHAT WE DO<br>•<br>RELOCATING THE BABY BANK CREATED SPACE IN OUR<br>CHARITY SHOP. THIS ENABLED US TO OPEN UP A<br>DEDICATED CHILDREN’S CLOTHING SECTION UPSTAIRS.<br>•<br>OUR CHARITY SHOP CONTINUES TO HELP US TO BE MORE<br>SUSTAINABLE AND PROMOTES A CIRCULAR FASHION<br>INDUSTRY. THIS REDUCES LANDFILL<br>•<br>OUR INTERNAL DATABASE HAS BEEN UPDATED. WE HAVE<br>THE FACILITY TO KNOW IMMEDIATELY THE NUMBER OF<br>BENEFICIARIES, AREAS OF DELIVERY, PROFESSIONALS<br>SUPPORTED, MILEAGE, ETHNICITY ETC.  THIS ENSURES<br>WE CAN PROVIDE ACCURATE EVALUATIONS.<br>•<br>AGAIN WE HAVE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF<br>VOLUNTEERS DUE TO THE INCREASE IN REFERRALS,<br>OPENING OF THE COMMUNITY HUB AND EXTRA FOOTFALL<br>IN OUR CHARITY SHOP<br>•<br>WE HAVE WELCOMED VOLUNTEERS FROM LOCAL<br>SCHOOLS WHO ARE WORKING TOWARDS THEIR DUKE OF<br>EDINBURGH AWARD<br>•<br>WE SAW ANOTHER INCREASE IN THE DIFFERENT TYPES<br>OF PROFESSIONALS USING AND KNOWING ABOUT OUR<br>SERVICE. SAFEGUARDING LEADS AT SCHOOLS ARE NOW<br>CONTACTING ABOUT FAMILIES WHO WOULD BENEFIT<br>FROM OUR SUPPORT<br>•<br>BUILT UP INCREASED RELATIONS WITH LOCAL CHARITIES<br>AND NON-PROFITS. WE HAVE INCREASED OUR REACH<br>WITH SUPERMARKET COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS WHO WANT<br>TO SUPPORT THE BABY BANK<br>•<br>WE ARE PROUD OF OUR INVOLVEMENT WITH LOCAL<br>SCHOOLS. WE VISIT THE SCHOOLS, EXPLAIN ABOUT THE<br>BABY BANK AND HOW THEY CAN HELP US.
