Review of year 2021
The start of the band’s financial year coincided with the gradual increase in Covid related restrictions, leading to the band needing to cancel all of the usual Christmas concerts. These restrictions also meant that the band continued to be unable to rehearse. This hiatus continued throughout the Spring, with rehearsals beginning for the first time since March 2019 at the end of June.
Over the summer the band has continued to welcome back existing players and welcomed in new players with the band’s first post-Covid performance taking place in late August at the wedding of a long time supporter of the band.
The band are looking forward to welcoming back the remaining players over the rest of the year and will be preparing for a busy Christmas period as we return to normal banding.
