## **Financial Review** 

|Review of the charity’s<br>financial position at the end<br>of the period 23/01/2020 to<br>16/07/2021|Para 1.21|At the end of the period funds held in the account totalled<br>£32,632.<br>In the previous financial period we purchased our church<br>building, mortgage outgoings totalled £3496 for this 12<br>month period, at just over £290 a month<br>Legal fees relate to the purchase of building.<br>There was £12510 cost of building maintenance and<br>improvement. This included an upgrade of the central<br>heating in the hall and sanctuary and repairs to the roof.<br>Fundraising income is from the sale of items, either<br>personal donated by members or from the church building<br>itself removed during refurbishment.<br>There was a small payment for the removal of the organ.<br>Room hire was for one party - but also from 17th Barnsley<br>Rainbows, who hired our hall weekly for a short period<br>between 1st Nov and 6th Dec 2021<br>There was a £11029 gift aid payment from HMRC - this is<br>the amount claimed for 2018-19-20 This was received on<br>31st December 2021<br>There was an energy rebate - £578 received on 1st April<br>2022 relating to change of supplier.<br>Safety and Security refers to costs incurred with the burglar<br>alarm service, annual fire safety check and the purchase of<br>new fire extinguishers.<br>Donations relates to donations made to other charities and<br>visiting preachers.<br>£320 was raised from a quiz evening in March 2022 and<br>sent to Betel charity in Prague to support their work with<br>Ukrainian refugees.|
